Metafold's story behind Geometry and Additive Manufacturing

Metafold was founded at the intersection of math (geometry), design (architecture), and engineering by Elissa Ross, Tom Reslinski, and Daniel Hambleton.

After years of consulting and helping organizations solve critical geometry problems in industry, the founders witnessed an increase in speed at which their clients needed to innovate and produce new products. At the same time, clients were pressured to lower the cost of materials and decrease the weight of these products.

Metafold 3D was born with the mission to empower engineers, scientists, and designers to innovate with 3D printing to produce highly optimized and differentiated parts and products. Metafold 3D leverages mathematics to solve the toughest problems holding back the additive manufacturing industry.
